<p>PURPOSE:To attain the temperature control without interrupting the working of a computer system by controlling the working frequency and the working voltage of the computer system consisting of the C-MOS parts based on the temperature detected by a power control circuit. CONSTITUTION:A computer system 1 consisting of the C-MOS parts is always monitored by a temperature monitor 5 of a power control circuit 16. The monitor 5 outputs the analog voltage proportional to the due temperature, and this analog voltage is converted into a digital signal by an A/D conversion circuit 11. This digital signal is inputted to a decoder 12 and activates either one of the corresponding selection signals 13a-13n according to the correspondence between the temperature data 10 and the working frequency fS. Then the frequency fS is outputted to the system 1. While the output of the circuit 11 is inputted to a voltage control circuit 15 and the output voltage VS corresponding to the data 10 is outputted to the system 1. In such a way, a high frequency fS and a high voltage VS are selected and supplied to the system 1 at a low temperature. While a low frequency fS and a low voltage VS are selected and supplied to the system 1 at a high temperature, respectively.</p> |
