PURPOSE:To prepare a mushroom-cultivation compost in a short time by compounding zeolite powder and paper sludge to a bark compost of broad-leaved tree under specific condition. CONSTITUTION:A bark compost is prepared by the incomplete fermentation of a mixture composed of 8 pts. of bark of broad-leaved tree and 2 pts. of poultry manure and/or activated sludge. The compost is used as a main raw material and is mixed with zeolite powder and fermenting paper sludge at ratios to attain a carbon-nitrogen ratio of 30-40% and the mixture is adjusted to a water-content of 70-80% and pH of 6.8-7.0 to obtain a compost raw material. The compost raw material is heaped on a shelf floor or a box floor and fermented at 45-60 deg.C for 48-70hr. When the fermentation is completed and the floor temperature begins to decrease, the water-content of the compost bed is adjusted to 60-70%. When the temperature is lowered to 22-25 deg.C, spawn of mushroom is inoculated on the compost bed, covered with soil after rooting and controlled to keep the water-content of the covered soil to 70-80%. The sprouted and grown mushroom is harvested. |
