The subject of the invention is a sliding shutter intended to equip an opening and composed of vertical slats 1 articulated via their lateral edges to joining elements 2, which shutter is characterised in that it also includes locking means 4 articulated to some of the joining elements 2 which are placed in a closed position of the shutter in the notched part of the guide rails of the latter, which means are adapted in order to be positioned, on the one hand, in the extension of the elements 2 in order to permit the folding-up or the unfolding of the shutter body with vertical slats 1 and, on the other hand, perpendicularly with respect to the said joining elements 2 and to the slats 1 of the shutter body in order to oppose the opening of the closed shutter, in the event of bad weather or of attempted break-in. <IMAGE>
