PURPOSE:To easily obtain a converging lens corresponded to the shape of opening part of a liquid crystal display element by using a protective shielding body for the active switching element of an active matrix type liquid crystal display element as a pattern mask for forming the lens array. CONSTITUTION:The transparent glass substrate 13 mounted a liquid shielding film 12 composed of a nickel film having a prescribed pattern is set on a glass substrate 15 which is previously applied a photosensitive org. resin material 14 composed of cinnamoyl chloride and polymethyl methacrylate by a spin coating method. A partial convex type org. lens is prepared by irradiating the transparent glass substrate with UV rays 11 from the glass substrate side, and then thermally treating the exposed glass substrate. And then the glass substrate is further thermally treated at 150 deg.C for about 20min to cure the resin layer, thereby being rounded at the environs of the lens. The shape of the lens 41 corresponds to the shape of the opening part of the liquid crystal display element, and the lens body has a larger size than that of the opening part of the liquid crystal display element. |
