PURPOSE:To reduce damage caused by external force and prevent corrosion of steel material by working an anode material for electric corrosion protection such as Zn alloy, Al alloy etc. into foil to obtain a tape and using it as a covering material. CONSTITUTION:An anode material such as Zn alloy, Al alloy is worked into foil and a tape 1 is manufactured. If necessary, insulating covering 2 is laminated on one side of the tape 1. For instance, the tape 1 is wound round the welded joint of piping 5, 5', and a thermocontracting tape 7 is wound over it. When executing in the ground or in water, it is desirable to cut off electric corrosion protecting function after attaching the tape 1 using insulator such as a covering and a thermocontracting tape for insulation and protection. If necessary, the tape 1 and an object to be corrosion protected are connected electrically with a jig etc. |
