<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the output of an AC generator at the high speed rotating time while the generating capacity at the low speed rotating time is maintained at it is by dividing an armature coil into two segments and switching series to parallel of coils in response to the rotating speed of the generator. CONSTITUTION:Armature coils are divided into segments 21-23, 24-26. A series/parallel converter 29 deenergize a relay 27 when the speed signal from a rotating speed detector 28 is low, thereby connecting the armature coils 21 and 24, 22 and 25, 23 and 26 in series with each other. When the speed signal becomes high speed, the relay 27 is energized, thereby switching the armature coils 21 and 24, 22 and 25, 23 and 26 in parallel with each other. In this manner, the generating capacity at the low speed rotating time is maintained as it is, and the output at the high speed rotating time can be enhanced to approx. twice.</p> |
