PROCESS AND ARRANGEMENT FOR REDUCING SALT CYCLES, IN PARTICULAR IN CEMENT KILNS

A process and arrangement are useful for reducing salt cycles, in particular in cement kilns. A partial gas stream loaded with noxious substances is removed from the kiln through a bypass (8). Dust is removed from the partial gas stream in several steps in a dust separator. The partial gas stream is cooled between the steps. The gas, which remains at a predetermined temperature, is returned after cleaning to a given point in the raw meal heat-exchanger (3-7), which is at the same temperature as the cooled gas.
