PURPOSE:To improve a picture processing, picture recognition, etc., by successively altering the address position of a projection pattern according to a desired picture projecting direction on the memory area of an objective pattern, and executing scanning based on it. CONSTITUTION:A projection pattern Pp is scanned on the memory area of an objective pattern Po based on address positions M (0,0) to M (6,6), which are designated and successively altered by a control means, and the scanning is controlled in the direction intersecting orthogonally with the arbitrary picture projecting direction. At the time of scanning, the number of picture elements at a specific value in the objective pattern Po is counted according to the contents of the projection pattern Pp, and by repeating the counting, the picture projection is executed. Consequently, even when the objective pattern Po rotates from the original desired direction on the memory area, by controlling the scanning direction of the projection pattern Pp, namely the address position, according to the rotating direction, the picture projection can be executed with out complicating the processing. Thus, the reliability of the picture processing, picture recognition, etc., can be improved. |
