PURPOSE:To prevent a finger or hand from inadvertently touching a transfer paper accommodated in a transfer paper storing unit by closing a lid portion, by so arranging that an opening portion is defined at the front surface of a main body so as to take out a take-up roll therefrom when said lid portion is opened. CONSTITUTION:A lid portion 22 is pivotally secured to a main body of a cartridge by a general hinge mechanism 26 at one side thereof. When the lid portion 22 is opened to a fixed portion 25, an opening portion 37 is defined at the front surface of the cartridge so as to draw a take-up roll 32 outside. The opening portion 37 is opened enough to draw the take-up roll 32 outside by a thermal printer, namely, slightly more than the maximum diameter of the take-up roll 32. A transfer paper storing unit 21 accommodates transfer papers T in the state wound round the take-up roll 32 and a feed roll 33. Therefore, so long as the lid portion 22 is closed, it can be prevented that a hand inadvertently touches the transfer paper T accommodated in the storing unit 21. |
