<p>The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for grinding metal and metal-alloy stock. The stock is ground in a hot state, preferably in direct connection with casting, continuous casting, or rolling the stock or hot working the stock in some other way. The stock is ground with the aid of an endless abrasive belt (7) and the requisite grinding pressure is achieved with the aid of a contact device (24) loaded with fluid pressure.</p> |
