Pallet for storing liquid substances

A pallet serves for storing liquid substances, in particular substances which are hazardous to water, such as heating oil, industrial waste water, chemical treatment baths and the like. The pallet (10) has a tank (12) for receiving the substances, which is provided with a filling dome (15) on its top side. A container (11) essentially receives the tank (12) and is preferably of metallic or pallet-like construction. The container (11) has an inner rim (31) at a top edge (14). In order to guarantee increased safety of storage with good accessibility of the filling dome, even under adverse environmental conditions, the container (11) forms a liquid-tight collection trough which is closed at the bottom. A top section (13) of the tank (12) protrudes upwards beyond the top edge (14) of the container. A gap (D) between the inner rim (31) and the top section (13) of the tank (12) is closed by means of an elastic lip seal (21) (Fig. 3). <IMAGE>
