PURPOSE:To simply and effectively collect the fault information by recovering instantaneously the faults of a channel and a peripheral controller to ensure the continuous use of the controller and at the same time collecting the fault information necessary for analysis of the fault factor via a channel. CONSTITUTION:When a peripheral controller 20 has a fault, a fault detection means 21 operates to inform a fault recovery means 11 of the occurrence of the fault. At the same time, an instruction is given to a fault information saving means 22 to save the fault information stored in the controller 20. Thus the means 22 saves the fault information on the controller 20 into a fault information saving area 23. While the controller 20 is initialized by the means 11 for recovery of the fault, and the means 11 gives an instruction to a fault information collection means 12 to collect the fault information saved into the controller 20. Thus the means 12 takes the fault information saved into the area 23 out of the controller 20 via a channel. Then a fault information logging means 13 logs the fault information into a fault information logging file 30. |
