PURPOSE:To prevent an area breakdown in advance and to detect a program which is about to cause the area breakdown by generating a machine check interruption at the time of storing data in a start address of an area. CONSTITUTION:A main storage area which is allocated to some program is set as an A area 2, its start address is a breakdown preventive address 3, and first of all, the A area 2 is allocated to a program by a operating system. Simultaneously, in accordance with a request from a storage contents breakdown prevention control means 4, an operation for breaking down a check bit of the breakdown preventive address 3 to a specific check bit for generating a machine check interruption at the time of data store access to said address is executed by a machine check interruption simulating means 5. In this state, for instance, when a program which is using a B area passes over an allocated area and executes an access to the breakdown preventive address 3 in order to store data, a machine check interruption is generated. In such a way, a breakdown of the contents of a main storage can be prevented in advance, and also, abnormality of the program can be detected in an early stage. |
