摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable to always maintain a sulfur oxide amount in a regenerated adsorbent at a set value or less by a method wherein SO2 concn. is measured in the upper and the lower parts of the cooling part of a desorbing tower and, in accordance with the measured values, supply amounts of an inert gas and a cooling medium are automatically controlled. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbent 2 desorbs SO2 in the heating part of a desorbing tower 1 forming a moving layer and is cooled and regenerated in the cooling part 4 thereof. Desorbed SO2 is discharged out of the tower along with an inert gas G. The SO2 concn. in the adsorbent flowed into the cooling part 4 is measured by a SO2 densitometer 8 and, when the measured value is higher than a predetermined value, a valve 10 is adjusted by a control box 9 to increase the supply amount of the inert gas G. In addition, SO2 concn. is also detected by a SO2 densitometer Sb provided to the lower part of the cooling part 4 and, when the SO2 concn. is higher than a set value, the supply amount of the inert gas G is increased or a valve 15 is adjusted to increase the supply amount of a cooling medium and, according to circumstances, an adsorbent discharge valve 11 is throttled to lower the adsorbing moving speed in the tower.</p>
