Metal forming press system - incorporates feed stroke adjuster system with motor drive

The feed gripper arrangement operates using retainer and movement grips powered by a crank drive using a crankpin adjustably spaced from the shaft for feed increment control. The adjuster spindle effecting this is powered by a drive fitted with a rotor which is coaxial to the crankshaft, rotates relative to this and is drivably connected to the drive. The adjuster drive motor (17) should rotate in a fixed housing (12) and consists of two relative rotating parts, e.g. shaft (19) and housing (18) drivably connected to the rotor (11) and crankshaft respectively (7). A rotary coupling (23) with feedlines (22) should interpose between motor (17) and housing (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - Metal forming, e.g. extruders, eccentric press. Simple drive linkage between motor and adjuster spindle controls feed increment to suit press.
