PURPOSE:To reduce an amount of noise discharged in a room by a method wherein a sound absorbing material is glued to the interior of the air feed passage and the interior of the air exhaust passage of a weather cover provided on the outdoor side, and the two air passages are partitioned from each other by means of a partition wall formed by a sound absorbing material. CONSTITUTION:With a motor 5 runs, an air feed flow A and an air discharge flow B are generated, and a ventilating motion is performed. Noise from the inside and the outside of a device is absorbed during the passage of it through the sound absorbing material of parts, i.e., sound absorbing materials 22, 24, and 27, a partition wall 23, and a heat exchanger 28. Since an air feed passage 12 and an air discharge passage 13 of a weather cover 21 are formed such that they are lengthened in the directions of the air feed flow A and the air discharge flow B, a sound absorbing function can be improved. The thicknesses of the sound absorbing materials 22 and 23 are increased to an enoughly high value, and noise in a range of from a low frequency to a high frequency is absorbed. Thereby, the sound absorbing material 27 of an outer box 2 except the weather cover 21 is formed in a thin manner and can cope with absorption of noise of a high frequency. Further, the partition wall 23 of the weather cover 21 is formed by a sound absorbing material itself. |
