发明名称 METHOD FOR DRIVING HEAD OF THERMAL PRINTER
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce power consumption and to further increase a printing speed by dividing all of heating units into a plurality of groups and simultaneously supplying high frequency pulse signals shifted in a phase to each other at every groups as head enable signals for controlling a heating time. CONSTITUTION:Since thermal enable signals 1, 2 are high frequency pulses and mutually reverse in a phase, the respective divided groups of the thermal head 6 are alternately controlled in heating at a high frequency cycle even when both signals 1, 2 are simultaneously generated and do not receive heating control at the same time. Therefore, power consumed simultaneously is one when half heating units generate heat simultaneously at most and power consumption can be reduced in the same way when two enable signals are supplied at different times. By simultaneously supplying the enable signals 1, 2 to a head driving circuit 5, the heating units of the thermal head can be controlled in heating. Therefore, the time required in printing one line may be almost half the time required in conventional two-split printing. Paper feed can be also made almost half and a printing speed can be increased.</p>
