Door for closing the cooking chamber of a cooker with microwave and resistance heating, consisting of a door outer frame (5) supported on the boundary edge of the cooking chamber, and a door inner frame (6), and a front pane (7), an inner viewing window (8) smaller than the front pane (7), and a perforated-plate shielding body (9) assigned to the viewing window (8), a microwave-energy seal (10), which extends parallel to the cooking-chamber wall (11) after closure of the door (3), being formed at the periphery of the door inner frame (6). For the purpose of a construction of the cooking-chamber door (3) which saves material and is suitable for automation, the door outer frame (5') supported on the boundary edge (4) of the cooking chamber is provided with an extension (12) which is directed into the depth of the cooking chamber (2) and merges into an angled-off portion (13) pointing away from the cooking-chamber wall (11). The door inner frame (6) and the perforated-plate shielding body (9) are connected in contacting fashion, in the edge region, to the angled-off portion (13). <IMAGE>
