The cable entry into a cabinet housing of electronic installations, especially communications exchanges, is intended to be designed such that the cabinet housing is connected in a sealed manner from every viewpoint to the screens of the cables to be inserted, so that optimum electromagnetic compatibility is produced. A flexible metal wire tube is pulled over the cables, one end of which tube is electrically conductively connected to the cabinet housing by means of a mounting frame on the passage opening in the cabinet housing. The free, other end of the flexible metal wire tube is bolt-connected to a quick-assembly strip at the upper end of the mounting frame such that the screens of the cables are electrically conductively connected to the flexible metal wire tube. The passage opening through the cabinet housing is sealed in an electrically proof manner by means of the flexible metal wire tube which is electrically conductively connected both to the cabinet housing and to the cable screens.
