PURPOSE:To attach or detach a ribbon cartridge through simple manipulation by providing a second holding member which raises an engaging protrusion at the opposite side by a coupling member when a first holding member is rotated. CONSTITUTION:Holding members 23, 24 are coupled by a coupling rod 26 in a manner that hooks at opposite ends of the coupling rod 26 are rotatably engaged with engaging holes 23d, 24d provided at each predetermined position of the holding members 23, 24. When upper and lower frames 25, 22 are moved away subsequent to the opening of the upper frame 25, both recessed portions 23b, 24b of the holding members 23, 24 are turned upwards. Moreover, because of the rotation of the holding member 23 in a direction shown by an arrow A, an engaging protrusion 21a of a supported ribbon cartridge 21 is raised along a slope 23e. Simultaneously, the holding members 23, 24 are moved up relatively to the lower frame 22, whereby the ribbon cartridge 21 is raised in its entirety. Accordingly, the ribbon cartridge 21 can be easily taken out. |
