PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a stain due to a magenta coupler in the subject material after processing the photographic sensitive material by using a replenisher in which a cation contd. in the replenisher is composed of a specified amount of an ammonium ion. CONSTITUTION:When the silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. at least one of compds. shown by formulas I and II, is image-wisely exposed, then color-developed, and subjected to a bleach-fix processing, the replenishing amount of the bleach-fix bath is 0.5-15 times of a developer carried over from a fore bath per the unit area of the photosensitive material. The cation components such as Li<+>, Na<+>, K<+> and ammonium ion contg. in the replenisher of the bleach-fix bath are composed of >=80mol of ammonium ion. In formulas I and II, R1 and R2 are each an aliphatic, an aromatic or a heterocyclic ring group, X is a group capable of being released by allowing to react with an aromatic amine developing agent, A is a group capable of forming a chemical bonding by allowing to react with an aromatic amine developing agent, (n) is 1 or 0, B is hydrogen atom, an aliphatic or an aromatic group, etc., Y is a group capable of promoting the addition of the aromatic amine developer to a compd. shown by formula II. Thus, the generation of the stain is prevented. |
