Solid material (2), esp. for medicinal or biological use, is held in a plastic container (1) and is in contact with solvent, esp. H2O, which becomes satd. with solid taken into soln. The soln. is sepd. by a diffusion barrier (9) from a tube full of material, (6), of fatty nature, which permits only slow transfer of soln. to a further diffusion barrier (7) barring access to an external destination, (10) which may be part of a patients body or mouth. The two barriers may be parts of a single structure, and be adjustable mechanically/electrically/magnetically to amt. supplied. The numerous variations of the basic concept include delivery of multiple materials, provision of refill supplies, and many types of delivery mechanism adapted to skin, arteries etc. of patients. USE - For continuous precisely controlled delivery, esp. at slow rates.
