PURPOSE:To improve the operability to surely load or unload a memory cartridge by combining a frictional feed means and an engaging feed means to load or unload the memory cartridge. CONSTITUTION:At the time of loading a memory cartridge 10, the memory cartridge 10 is pulled to the vicinity of a connector 26 by a frictional feed means 70 and is pressed into a connector 26 by the engaging means. The frictional feed means 70 drives a pressing member 76, which presses the memory cartridge 10 so that a prescribed frictional force is caused, in the direction of memory cartridge insertion by a motor to draw in the memory cartridge 10 by the frictional force. Consequently, when the memory cartridge 10 is reverse inserted, the load of the memory cartridge 10 is larger than the frictional force to cause slip, and the memory cartridge is not drawn in more than necessary. Thus, the memory cartridge is surely loaded and unloaded with a good operability. |
