PURPOSE:To perform closing operation of a booklet at high speed by a method wherein a booklet is sent in a roller passing direction while a roller for turning over the booklet is being driven by rotation in a direction in which a roller side page of the booklet is slid up on a peripheral surface of the roller. CONSTITUTION:A bankbook 100 is conveyed toward a roller 124, and is stopped at a position adjacent thereto. Then, a central part of a back cover side is pushed up with a pushing up lever 124, and rises looking up the roller 124 to be inclined. Then, the roller 124 is driven by rotation in a clockwise direction in which the back cover side page of the bankbook 100 is slid up on a peripheral surface of the roller. In that case, conveying rollers 108, 110 are also driven by rotation, and the bankbook 100 advances to be transferred to the roller 124 with the roller 110. Consequently, all the pages on the back cover side of the bankbook 100 run on the roller 124. When the rollers 108, 110, 124 are continued to be rotated, the all pages on the back cover side of the bankbook 100 are collectively closed, and the bankbook 100 passes right under the roller 124. |
