<p>PURPOSE:To increase an effective sampling frequency in an access, to execute the high accuracy speed detection and to frequently attain the position detection by mutually dislocating and arranging the servo information of plural surfaces on the same spindle in a circular circumferential direction and successively sampling the servo information with time division. CONSTITUTION:Respective servo information areas of a K surface which becomes K<=M provided on an N number of radiations are mutually dislocated and arranged only by 360 deg./(KXN) in the inner circumferential direction and an output signal from the K number of information reproducing heads us used by time division. The servo information areas pass on the head of either of head groups for the time tau(KXN) and the disk radius direction position of a head group is detected from the servo information areas. Consequently, without increasing unnecessarily the number N of sectors per disk one-round, the sapling frequency of the control system can be increased, and even when the head is moved at a high speed, the action of the head can be sufficiently fine monitored. Thus, the servo frequency band of the seek control system can be widely secured and the high speed access can be executed.</p> |
