<p>Apparatus for cultivation of crustaceans such as marron. The apparatus creates an environment which is conducive to growth of crustaceans and reflects the natural environment of crustaceans inasmuch as it promotes growth of algae. The apparatus comprises a growing tank (13) through which water flows while maintaining a substantially constant water level below the top of the tank. Water discharges from the tank through outlet (33). The tank is divided into a plurality of growing compartments (43) by partitions (45, 47) which are perforated to permit water to flow through each compartment (42) and which are adapted to support the growth of algae.</p> |
