1. A ski binding for tour-walking, comprising a base plate (3) adapted to be fixedly mounted on a ski (1), and a sole plate (7) articulated to the front end of said base plate for pivoting about a transversely extending pivot axis (6) and subjected in the touring position to the action of a spring (13) biasing it towards said base plate (3), said base plate (3) being secured to said ski (1) by two mounting jaws (4, 5) at least one of which is designed as a release jaw, the action of said spring (13) on said sole plate (7) being relievable, characterized in that said spring (13) is designed as a torsion spring having one leg (13a) supported on said base plate (3), the end of its other, pivotable leg (13b) being adapted to be engaged with a blind bore (12) of a slide member (10) guided in a recess (3b) of said base plate (3) for displacement transversely of the longitudinal direction of said ski (1), so that in one end position of said slide member (10) said pivotable leg (13b) of said torsion spring (13) is operatively connected to said sole plate (7) while being disconnected therefrom in the displaced other end position of said slide member (10) with its end still retained in said blind bore (12), said sole plate (7) being formed with a slot (14) of L-shaped configuration as viewed from above, the longer leg of said slot (14) permitting free passage therethrough of said pivotable leg (13b) of said torsion spring (13) (figs. 1 to 5). |
