The invention relates to an appliance housing, in particular for large domestic appliances, such as washing machines, dishwashers, driers or the like, whose side walls can be produced by bending over a sheet-metal blank and are provided with an exterior coating of enamel or lacquer (varnish). In the case of said appliance housing, predetermined bending points are provided in each case on the housing corner edges of the adjacent side walls of the housing casing. Furthermore, separate shaped corner pieces, which in each case cover over the predetermined bending points on both sides, are positioned in a frictionally and positively locking manner onto the housing corner edges of the housing casing, which is coated before the corners are bent over. This consequently provides an appliance housing which can be cost-effectively produced in series, poses no problems when coating with enamel or lacquer and rules out injuries on the housing corner edges.
