<p>The extinguisher is fitted with an alarm unit (1) incorporating a battery unit, an alarm emitting circuit and a siren, the alarm being sounded whenever the extinguisher is taken from its proper location. Also in the unit is a detector (14) contg. a breaker function of the mercury contact type. This detects movement of the extinguisher, and an externally accessible key switch (2) which enables current supply from the battery to the electronic part (13) to be interrupted. The alarm unit is fitted on the lower part of the extinguisher, and has the same dia. as it. A time relay is also fitted which cuts off current feed when a specific period has elapsed after activ-ation of the alarm.</p> |
