PURPOSE: To prevent a magnetism liquid from splashing and improve sealing effect by mounting covering members on a seal assembly, projecting them between an annular sealing gap, and forming substantial closed spaces with a shaft body. CONSTITUTION: Sealing gaps are formed together with a shaft body 8 and covering members 4, 5, 6 provided by connecting them to one side of armatures 7, 7', 7'', and the sealing gaps are filled with magnetic liquids, 9, 9', 9''. The covers 4, 5, 6 include lip shape portions 4', 5', 6'' on the inner circumferential fringes, the shapes being determined by required conditions including the necessity of forming seals in contact with the shaft body 8. Thus the magnetic liquids 9, 9', 9'' can be held in quantity without splashing them and sealing effect can be improved. |
