PURPOSE:To print a predetermined printing area efficiently by a method wherein the superposition of a scale showing the number of pixels of image data is indicated by a scale superposition indicating means to form image data which is, in turn, superposed on the image data and indicated. CONSTITUTION:It is judged whether the indication of superposition of a scale is inputted by a scale superposition indicating output part 12. When the indication is inputted, scale data is formed on an RAM 6. The image data of the indicated printing area among the image data stored in an image memory 7 is read on the RAM 6. Next, the scale data is superposed on the image data to form printing data which is, in turn, outputted to printing paper by a printing mechanism part 8. |
