PURPOSE:To save wiring and to facilitate maintenance by converting a load control signal sent from a central control unit from a gateway device provided for each branch power line into a transmission signal for power line carrier communication and sending the signal to a branch power line and controlling the load connected to the branch power line. CONSTITUTION:When a load control signal is sent from a central control unit 4 to a signal transmission line 5, each gateway devices 8a, 8b take a signal representing its own address, converts terminal address pulse 9c and a control pulse 9d into a transmission signal on power line carrier communication and modulated by the frequency of the carrier and send the pulse on the branch power line 1a. Each terminal equipment 3 fetches a signal representing its own address and a specified lighting load 2 is controlled based on the content of control represented by the control pulse 9d. Thus, the gateway device is provided for each branch power line to apply load control while the transmission line of a load control signal is used in common for the branch power lines 1a, 1b and wiring is saved. |
