PURPOSE:To promote durability by effecting melt extruding a thermoplastic elastomer in such a form that it can be used as a hinge and drawing or rolling a sheet-like section at least into one or two shafts. CONSTITUTION:A polyester elastomer, polyamide elastomer, polyolefin elastomer and etc. are used as a thermoplastic elastomer. It is preferable that those thermoplastic elastomers have a Shore hardness of 35D-72D. The polyester elastomer which is now in the market under a trade name of Hytrel (made by TORE & DU PONT) is preferable in respect of excellent low temperature characteristics. In order to orient and crystallize a sheet, it is carried out by drawing or rolling the sheet to be melt extruded into one or two shafts. Accordingly, such a lightweight hinge as having powerful strength, corrosion-resistance and good enclosure can be manufactured. |
