PURPOSE:To facilitate shift of side weirs and to easily change width of a sheet by constituting the side weirs with plural side blocks endlessly connected, arranging them along guides in the running direction of the metallic belt and running while laying them on the metallic belt. CONSTITUTION:At least parts forming side walls for a mold in the side weirs are run while arranging toward the running direction of the metallic belt 10 and laying on the metallic belt 10. This running of the side weir 11 can be achieved by adjusting position of sprockets 3, 4 so that the side wall of the side weir 11 runs toward the running direction of the metallic belt 10 and the (m) point and (n) point are laid on the metallic belt 10. At the time of setting the position by shifting the sprockets 3, 4 and the sprockets 3', 4' toward the dotted arrow mark 20 direction, the strip having narrow width W3 is obtd. Further, reversely, at the time of setting the position by shifting them toward the solid arrow mark 20, the cast sheet 17 having wide width is obtd. |
