PURPOSE:To stabilize the fluidity of a developer, by providing a guide part to a guide which guides and supplies the developer to a toner concentration sensor in order to drop freely and vertically the developer toward the inlet of the toner concentration sensor. CONSTITUTION:A guide 7 guides and supplies a developer 2 to a toner concentration sensor 8, and a guide part 7a of the guide 7 drops freely and vertically the developer 2 toward the inlet of the sensor 8. With use of such a developing device, the linkage of the carrier contained in the developer 2 is cut off since the developer 2 on the guide 7 drops freely toward its gravity. Thus the effect of the magnetic force 22 that acts on up to the sensor 8 through the carrier can be prevented. This stabilizes the fluidity of the developer 2. |
