PURPOSE:To precipitate graphite in a layer state in the title plate, to prevent the deterioration of its high damping capacity and to improve its workability by regulating grain size, the number of grain and the cooling speed at the time of solidification, specifying the total draft and working the plate. CONSTITUTION:Spheroidal graphite cast iron is cast and the cooling speed at the time of solidification is regulated to disperse 20 to 100 grain pieces/mm<2> of graphite having 80 to 300mum average grain size in a ferrite matrix. The spheroidal graphite cast iron is worked at >=75% total draft. The working is executed by hot rolling, hog forging or the like at about 900 to 1100 deg.C. In this way, the graphite precipitation high damping cast steel having no deterioration of high damping capacity at the time of adding working strains and in the use of wide temp. range can be obtd. |
