<p>PURPOSE:To give both surfaces of turbine blade the same value of compressed residual stresses by dipping a part of non-quenching part in the turbine blade into water, heating both surfaces of the quenching part with flame so as to become the same temp. and quenching. CONSTITUTION:The front edge part 3 of the turbine blade 1 is made to horizontal and a part of the non-quenching part 2a below the quenching part 2 is dipped into the water 11. The water 11 is circulated with a circulating pump 13 and the main burner pipe 5 is shifted from one end to the other end of the quenching part 2 to heat the quenching part 2 with the flame. Burner part in the main burner pipe 5 is composed of the burner port 5c for back side and the burner port 5d for front side and both sides of the back side 2c and the front side 2d in the quenching part 2 become the same temp. at the same time, when the main burner 5 passes through, and the heat is conducted into the water 11 and the quenching is executed. By this method, as almost the same value of the compressed residual stress is given to each point on both surfaces at the part to be quenched, damage of the turbine blade caused by stress corrosive crack can be prevented.</p> |
