PURPOSE:To make it possible to make a sprocket small in size and of common use by forming a driving sprocket on the outer circumference of the output shaft of a transmission, and thereby forming a driven sprocket on the outer circumference of the extended section of the driving sprocket in a four-wheel drive vehicle equipped with a bevel gear type center differential gear. CONSTITUTION:In a power transmission transfer mechanism for a four-wheel drive vehicle, the case 43 of a center differential gear is extended in a sleeve form along the outer circumference of the output shaft 42 on the rear wheel side of it so that a chain sprocket 37 is arranged on the outer circumference of the extended section. By this constitution, the outside diameters of the sprocket, the center differential gear and of a transfer device 3 on the output side can be made small in size. In addition, the sprocket 37 on the driven side can also be made small in size, it can thereby be made common in dimension to the sprocket 35 on the driving side, it is also possible to contrive to make both of the sprockets on the driving and driven sides of common use.
