<p>PURPOSE:To drastically reduce the load on an input operator when a cursor is moved greatly on a screen by providing a pad which supports a mouse main body at such height that a ball does not come into contact with a surface in a normal state. CONSTITUTION:When the mouse main body 3 is pressed from above, a plate 7 which is fixed thereto moves down and a spring 6 contracts to put the pad 5 coming into contact with a base 8 in the mouse main body 3; and ball 4 rotates when moving on the base 8 and the motion of the mouse on the plane is detected. When the force pressing the mouse main body 3 from above is removed, the spring 6 restores itself in the extending direction and the pad 5 projects from the mouse main body 3. Consequently, even if the mouse main body 3 is lifted and the ball moves on the base 8, the ball 4 does not rotate and the motion of the mouse is not detected.</p> |
