PURPOSE: To decrease flow resistance and to assure a high absorption performance by having a carrier frame structure to which a layer of activated carbon particles adheres and a mutual distance between a wire and a monofilament or syay is specified. CONSTITUTION: Activated carbon particles of a granular, particularly, a spherical shape having a diameter of 0.1-1mm are made to adhere to a filter layer of activated carbon for a gas mask having a three dimensional carrier frame structure stable in a shape formed with a wire and a monofilament or a stay. In that case, the mutual distance between the wire and the monofilament or the stay is at least twice the diameter of activated carbon perticle. Preferably, it should be three-ten times larger than the particles. For this, the opening of the carrier frame structure, that is, a hole has a diameter of 1-5mm, preferably, 1.5-2.5μm.
