PURPOSE:To realize simple constitution and a small space surface and to eliminate deterioration in range finding capability due to the shadow of the bonding wire of a light emitting element by setting the bonding wire in the direction of the pattern of the light emitting element. CONSTITUTION:When the quantity of light of a subject 7 is deficient or when the contrast of the subject 7 is insufficient, that is judged from the output signal of the sensor array of an automatic focusing device 5 and is the subject 7 is irradiated with the auxiliary light from an auxiliary optical system 6. The auxiliary optical system 6 consists of a projection lens and a light emitting diode chip, which is connected to a light emitting circuit by the bonding wire 64 and driven. The bonding wire 64 and the pattern of the light emitting diode chip are provided in the same direction, so when light with a specific brightness distribution pattern is projected from the light emitting diode chip, the shade of the bonding wire 64 does not appear in the array direction of the sensor array. |
