A device for punching holes 3 in a paper web 4 has a first punching ring 1 having pins 6 and a second punching ring 2 having holes 7 for the pins 6, a discharge chamber 15 for discharging piles formed when the paper parts 14 (so-called confetti) are punched out of the paper web 4 being connected to the holes 7. To allow effective discharge of the paper parts 14 without risk of these getting stuck in the discharge chamber 15, the said discharge chamber consists at least partially of an arched duct 16 and 17 respectively, configured separately for each hole 7 and having a substantially circular cross section and substantially the same diameter as the hole 7 connected thereto. <IMAGE> |
