摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to apply magnetic field to the magneto-optical crystal with good efficiency, and to miniaturize the external size of the permanent magnet by arranging the magnetooptical crystal along the thick side in thickness of the permanent magnet in the eccentrical hollow part thereof. CONSTITUTION:A polarizer 11, the magnetooptical crystal 12 and an analyzer 13 are fixed to a holder 14, and the holder 14 is inserted and fixed in the eccentrical hollow part 20a of the permanent magnet 20. The holder 14 is formed in such a way that the magnetooptical crystal 12 approaches to the thick side in thickness of the permanent magnet 20 in the eccentrical hollow part 20a thereof. As mentioned above, the high magnetic flux density of the magnet 20 is obtd. by making eccentrically the hollow part 20a of the magnet 20. The reason why the crystal 12 is arranged along the thick side is thickness of the magnet 20 in the part 20a, is the purpose of disposing the crystal 12 in a position capable of being obtd. the high magnetic flux density. Thus, if the magnetic field applied to the crystal, is equal, the external size of the magnet 20 is miniaturized.
