<p>PURPOSE: To securely prevent crushing of a primary ignition agent casing by assembling the primary ignition agent casing on an outer wall of a gas generator casing in such a way that a heat sink heat-insulated to the gas generator casing is formed in a range of the outer wall. CONSTITUTION: In a primary ignition device for an automobile-passenger protective device, a primary ignition agent casing 1 of metal includes primary ignition agent 10 capable of ignition at a peripheral temperature of about 160-180 deg.C, and it is engaged in an opening part in an outer wall 3 of a gas generator casing 4 through a mold member 8 comprising heat-insulating synthetic material. The primary ignition agent casing 1 includes a recess, primary ignition agent 10 is filled in the recess, a window 6 of it is closed with a thin shielding member 12, and this window 6 is directed to secondary ignition agent 11.
