PURPOSE:To obtain a covered elastic yarn with a simple apparatus in high efficiency by connecting an elastic yarn feed roller to a rotary drum rotating by the motion of a multifilament yarn, synchronously rotating the feed roller and false-twisting the elastic yarn together with the multifilament yarn while stretching the elastic yarn. CONSTITUTION:A multifilament yarn A unwound from a package P1 is wound round the circumference of a rotary drum 1, which is driven by the travelling motion of the multifilament yarn A. The rotary drum 1 is linked with elastic yarn feed rollers 2, 2a, 2b with a rotation-transmission belt 3 to effect synchronous rotation of the roller and the drum. An elastic yarn B is supplied by the feed rollers under stretch at a definite stretch ratio, aligned together with the multifilament yarn A and passed through a false-twisting feed roller 4, a heater 5, a false-twisting spindle 6 and a false-twisting delivery roller 7 to effect the false-twisting processing or the elastic yarn B and the multifilament yarn A are subjected to interlocking processing and wound on a winding roller 8 to obtain the objective covered elastic yarn D. |
