PURPOSE:To make the title device small in size and to reduce weight by using a couple of liquid crystal display devices so as to project a stereoscopic video image on a screen. CONSTITUTION:An angle M of deflecting planes of the 1st and 2nd liquid crystal display devices 1, 2 is selected to be an angle in the vicinity of 45 deg. with respect to the horizontal scanning direction and the projected light from the 1st liquid crystal display devices 1 is reflected at least once at a right angle to the horizontal scanning plane of the vertical scanning plane. Then the reflected projection light from the 1st liquid crystal display device 1 and from the 2nd liquid crystal display device 2 is projected overlappingly on a screen 14 after passing through a lambda/4 plate 10 to project a stereoscopic video image. Thus, the size and weight of the equipment are made small. |
