PURPOSE:To simplify the movement of a lateral printing position, and to quantitatively grasp its moving distance by incrementally or decrementally moving a counter by a switch, determining the printing position by the counted value, and altering the moving distance of the printing position. CONSTITUTION:A space control circuit 3 positions a printing head to a print starting position by a print start command. In this case, the value of a printing position counter 6 is read. If this value is '0', the head is moved to a dot line '0', while if it is 'n', the head is moved to a dot line 'n'. The circuit 3 transmits the completion of the head positioning to a print control circuit 4, which prints one dot line. Thereafter, the circuit 3 sequentially moves the head, transmits the positioning of the head on a next dot line to the circuit 4, the circuit 4 thus prints dot lines. When data of one row is completely printed, the circuit 4 transmits the completion of the print to a printer control circuit 2. |
