PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body causing no accumulation of residual potential nor deterioration of chargeability and having high durability by constituting a charge transfer layer of two layers, incorporating a specified charge transfer material into a charge transfer layer at an electroconductive base body side, and incorporating another specified charge transfer material into a charge transfer layer at a charge generating layer side. CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body is constituted of two layers, wherein a charge transfer material having <5.50eV ionization potential(Ip) is incorporated into a first charge transfer layer at an electroconductive base body side and a charge transfer material having >=5.50eV Ip is incorporated into a second charge transfer layer at a charge generating layer side. Suitable charge transfer material for the first charge transfer layer is a hydrazone deriv., for example, N-methyl carbazole-3-aldehyde-N-methyl phenyl hydrazone, etc. Suitable charge transfer material for the second charge transfer layer is a stilbene deriv. such as 4'-N,N- diphenylamino-alpha-phenyl stilbene.
