Before the straightening bench 11 with the vehicle A fastened thereto is moved to the desired location in the workshop hangar, each wheel 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d, which can be swivelled about a vertical axis, is placed in the desired angular position α in relation to the centre axis x1 of the straightening bench 11, to which angular position α each wheel 18a, 18b, 18c, 18d is tightly locked so that the orientation of the rotational axis x4 of the wheel 18 is maintained.
