PURPOSE:To extend and widen a foamed sheet material in a certain width, and obtain a foamed sheet material having a flat surface and homogeneous cell structure by shifting a main body frame by means of a sensor, and holding both end parts by a plurality of holding wheels installed on the main body frame and a pair of belt and string-like supporters. CONSTITUTION:A foamed sheet material S heated and foamed in a vertical type foaming furnace descends perpendicularly by its dead weight, and when the both end parts in its width direction of the foamed sheet material S is inserted between casings 12a, 12b of a sensor gear 11, the sensor gear 11 detects this insertion, and the signal is inputted into the driving units of two main body frames 1 respectively, the main body frames 1 are moved along a slide rail 3 up to its proper position so as to be corrected in position. After that, the foamed sheet material S continues to be descended subsequently, and both the end parts are held between a pair of belt and string-like supporters 7 of holding parts 5, and further sent into between a plurality of holding wheels 6 of the holding parts 5 in order to be held therebetween. And, as it descends accompanying with movement of the belt and string-like supporters 7, the foamed sheet material S is extended and widened gradually outwards in its width direction by the slant of a pair of main body frames 1. |
